There’s a new boy in town…
Apparently Cyrus (future husband to Eleanor Waldorf, according to the books) and Aaron (his son) are going to make their debut in Gossip Girl’s second season! And who will be playing them? Wallace Shawn (The Princess Bride, Clueless) will play Cyrus and gorgeous John Patrick Amedori (Stick It) will be playing Aaron. But there’s more!According to my sources, Aaron will be Serena’s new boyfriend? This I’ve got to see! You know what else I have to see? Blair’s reaction to having foolish Cyrus as a step-father!
Stay tuned, people!

Surprises and Secrets
So it’s Sunday night and, like any other senior, I’m looking for some cheap TV thrills before it’s back to textbooks and homework. I flip through the TV schedule for the night and, to my surprise, what should I see scheduled for eight o’clock? If you’re any good with predictions, you’ve probably already guessed it: Gossip Girl. I know what you’re thinking: it was a re-run. Gossip Girl airs every Monday at eight, with some channels showing re-runs on Sunday. Well you’re wrong. It was a new episode airing one day early. So now I have the honour of reporting back to you on episode two of this sizzling new season. But beware dedicated fans: spoilers ahead.
NOTE: I don’t do episode recaps. If you’re looking for an episode recap, I’m sure that another blogger on this site or elsewhere will be able to provide one.
If there’s one thing that this episode was full of, it was secrets. Nate and Catherine try to keep their relationship a secret. Nate keeps his family’s financial troubles a secret. Blair tries to keep her real self, friends, and life a secret from Marcus. Marcus tries to keep his mother’s disdain for his girlfriends a secret. Chuck tries to keep his lust/love for Blair a secret (well, from Marcus anyways). Dan and Serena try to keep their reunion a secret. Tsk, tsk. When will these children learn? When you start keeping secrets you’re just setting yourself up to get burned. And nobody wants that, do they?
OMG!
After wasting an hour in front of the TV watching Project Runway re-runs (that Christian is fierce!), the clock struck eight and it was time for the season premiere that I know you’ve all been waiting for. I excitedly flipped the channel to 166 (the CW - apparently it wasn’t showing on CTV). I can honestly tell you that I had the hugest grin on my face as I watched a brief recap of season one, anxiously waiting for the main event.
It didn’t disappoint. Everything that I love about the Gossip Girl series was there: beautiful clothes on beautiful young people, beautiful young people doing terrible things, and terrible drama between beautiful young people! This time, all of the drama went down in the Hamptons, where the rich and famous go for some R’n'R. All of our favourites made an appearance looking tan (well, except for Jenny, who spent most of her time interning in New York), stylish, and very hot.
Those Summer Nights…
Hey there beautiful people. Sia here.
Allow me to introduce myself. I’m Sia (I would go with S, but I don’t want to be confused with a certain fictional bombshell) and I’m the newest blogger here on Canada’s Gossip Girl headquarters. Charmed, I’m sure. I’ll be sure to keep you up to date with the latest from the show and offer my own tips on how to live a Gossip Girl-worthy life, minus the drama (unless you want it!)
I’ve been a Gossip Girl fan since I first picked up the scandalous first novel and an even bigger fan since I started watching the deliciously addictive TV show. What can I say? I’m hooked on Gossip Girl! But can you blame me? Gossip Girl offers a look into the lives of young people who have it all: envy-inspiring clothing, stunning looks, and money coming out of the you-know-where, without the annoying vibes that come from those nouveau riche kids from the Hills and Laguna Beach and any of those other West Coast bores. And don’t get me started on the situations that they get into! Let’s just say that not every kid with money behaves like Richie Rich.
