“Damn that MothaChucker!”

Well hello all, we meet again to dish the dirt on the start of a brand new Gossip Girl season!

From the season 1 montage to the opening scene of Nate getting down and dirty…I had goosebumps down my spine from the get-go! I know Rob posted about some of the tunes played in the first episode but does anyone know what the song was that was played during the Season 1 montage in the beginning of the new episode? I am dying to find out…

I was loving every minute immediately and I barely have anything to complain about. I think it is truly fantastic that Eric is getting a larger role this season…or at least hopefully. He seems to be playing a role of more importance, but if I were him I would tell little Jenny to take a hike…there is something about Jenny that doesn’t sit well with me, her and Dan both came off as far too pathetic for me this episode…hopefully that does not stay true all season. I can’t totally buy into Dan being a “ladies man” or him having that confrontation with the two chicks from the white party…though it was classic to see two brightly coloured martinis get spilled all over him…I still couldn’t buy it.

The highlight for me personally was Blair and Chuck. At first you see Blair playing the game harder and faster than Chuck and then somewhere she gets lost and becomes weak…only to jump right back up from that and stomp all over Chuck’s little black heart as she pulls away in a car near the end with “my lord” haha. The two best lines from the entire episode came from Blair…

“Damn that mothachucker” and…

“give me one good reason, and ‘I am Chuck Bass’ is not a good enough reason”

Will these two find each other? I assume it will take all season long for them to finally get ‘ok’ with each other…if it is even possible. This James “my lord” guy hit the nail on the head when he told Blair that she and Chuck are meant for each other…

Nate and his whole “sleeping with the married chick” is so boring and mundane. You know how this ends…husband finds out, Nate gets punched, hearts are broken…move on. It’s all too similar to “Pacey and Ms. Jacobs, a la Dawson’s Creek”…give us something better!!!

Finally Dan and Serena…

Not a fan of Dan this season (with the exception of his ‘moment’ shared with Serena’s grandma)…at first I thought he was too cocky, then I thought he was too weak…and now my mind is just blown that they got “back together” so quickly…I hope something burns that fast so the drama of their relationship can once again ensue.

All in all, worth the wait and Season 2 looks flippin’ fantastic!

xoxo
