OMG!
After wasting an hour in front of the TV watching Project Runway re-runs (that Christian is fierce!), the clock struck eight and it was time for the season premiere that I know you’ve all been waiting for. I excitedly flipped the channel to 166 (the CW - apparently it wasn’t showing on CTV). I can honestly tell you that I had the hugest grin on my face as I watched a brief recap of season one, anxiously waiting for the main event.
It didn’t disappoint. Everything that I love about the Gossip Girl series was there: beautiful clothes on beautiful young people, beautiful young people doing terrible things, and terrible drama between beautiful young people! This time, all of the drama went down in the Hamptons, where the rich and famous go for some R’n'R. All of our favourites made an appearance looking tan (well, except for Jenny, who spent most of her time interning in New York), stylish, and very hot.

Allow me to introduce myself. I’m Sia (I would go with S, but I don’t want to be confused with a certain fictional bombshell) and I’m the newest blogger here on Canada’s Gossip Girl headquarters. I’ve been a Gossip Girl fan since I first picked up the scandalous first novel and an even bigger fan since I started watching the deliciously addictive TV show.What can I say? I’m hooked on Gossip Girl! But can you blame me? Gossip Girl offers a look into the lives of young people who have it all: envy-inspiring clothing, stunning looks, and money coming out of the you-know-where, without the annoying vibes that come from those nouveau riche kids from the Hills and Laguna Beach and any of those other West Coast bores. And don’t get me started on the situations that they get into! Let’s just say that not every kid with money behaves like Richie Rich.
the night before…
hey GG fans - just thought I’d drop a line before the big day! Hope everyone’s had a cool summer! If you’re like me you’ve spent the season getting your GG fix from all the teasers, blogs and mags full of our favorite UES teens, but I can’t wait to catch the season premiere tomorrow. The clips this blogger have seen look HOT! After last season’s finale I was worried that the gang would have bummer summers - S. lonely and wasting away in the Hamptons, Dan chumming around with his gal-pal Vanessa, B. touring europe with Random Guy, Nate scratching his head after losing his dad, gf. and BFF in one school year and Chuck…well, something tells me his summer was just fine.
Whats in store for us this season? Can S. and Dan re-unite after he’s realized that she might be as crazy as her brother or will Nate finally have a shot with her? Will Lily kick Bart to the curb and join the Rufus tour of love? Do B. and Chuck resume their brief, but scorching relationship? And what will little Jenny get up to, ”borrow” more dresses from Mrs. Waldorf? This season is going to be great - you’ll be able to get the latest on the shows, music, fashion and cast right here - I can’t wait to read all the posts!
and who am I? I’ll never tell. Let’s just say I love watching the sparks and daggers fly between these glitzy kids in their perfect Manhattan world….

Season 2… Only Hours Away!
Hey Gossip Girl fans, so yet another season is to begin shortly .. and what do we have here?
Spotted: Aqua; a fairly new fan of Gossip Girl. A proud member part of the Canadian Gossip Girl site as one of its new bloggers. Now she gets to share and discuss her love for the show with all you fans out there! Such a shame she missed out on the first season. Introducing…
Hi Gossip Girl fans, J.Sto here. There’s one day to go before a fresh, new season of drama featuring our favourite group of Upper East Siders is unleashed on us. Why do I love Gossip Girl? Well come on, I mean, what’s not to love? For starters, these ladies are amazing. The guys are pretty cute too. I’ll admit it: S and B are my new fashion muses. While Serena works the rebellious, natural beauty with tribute to our friend Kate Moss, Blair goes for meticulously groomed Park Avenue princess. My own personal style falls somewhere between the two. I love the New York backdrop- it’s easily one of the most incredible places in the world. I also think that Chuck Bass is one of the best characters on television. I know we’re supposed to hate him, but I love every moment that he’s on screen (especially when he’s with Blair, because those two have some amazing chemistry, whether they’re loving or hating each other). Could there be more to look forward to in the coming season? I know I couldn’t be more stoked!

Excellent, that needed to come out! hello again, my name is Shorey (lets stick with calling me ShorStar) and I am a small town gal trying to make it in the “big bad city”! I adore the colour purple and find myself buying anything purple without properly examining the logic of the purchase…it is an obsession. I’m a huge fan of music, the media, city life and most importantly of course, Gossip Girl!
Right away I can tell you that we already have something in common…our love for the elite members of the Upper east Side! The reason as to why I adore gossip girl, is an answer far too common…

Here’s a short list: the drama, the fashion, the hot cast, the secrets, the lies, the rumors, the relationships, the breakups, the makeups the friendships, the enemies, the backstabbing, the cheating, the sex, the drugs, and did I mention the drama??
Last season we left our Upper East Side kids feeling sad and lonely… but not for long!
S and N plan to reunite in the Hamptons, while C runs away from his feelings for B, and B just plain runs away! (Not without hot business man in tow, of course). Rufus is heartbroken, and though the new Mrs. Bass had a stunning wedding- her marriage may wind up being less than perfect. And what about little J? will she ever get a boyfriend? Will she ever figure out how to be popular without compromising her morals or her relationship with big brother Dan? And will the noble hearted Dan find a match in his best friend, and former girlfriend, Vanessa? So many questions, and so many crazy, fun, naughty ways that it could all work out!!

Hello there fellow Gossip Girl lovers…

Now beware, part of this is a *teaser* for Season 2. I repeat, part of this is a *teaser*, you’ve been forewarned! So for those of you who are starving yourselves of all things GG and are planning on gorging on the show when the premiere airs, cover your eyes! However, I do commend you on your will power! But…I’m not as strong as you, I need my Gossip Girl fix! =p Let me be the first to tell you though, you are missing out on some serious juice! Now I know that I can’t wait any longer, so let’s get into this! And for all who have yet to completely surrender and are still Gossip Girl fasting, I won’t spoil it for you by revealing any of the appealing details or the steamy drama that is located in the video below. Okay, that was a little lame but what do you expect from a 19 year-old math major/film minor (aka me)?
The truth is, Gossip Girl - by all means a guilty pleasure of mine since I was 12- is a huge source of another kind of amusement. Seeing these so-called teenagers in their superficial, self absorbed, “elite” world is all good and well but there are also instances - let’s call them “loop holes” - which make the show worth watching all the more.
For example, when are bloggers cool? Really, that is what Gossip Girl is right? A blogger whose material relies solely on the actions of a group of people she stalks! Plus, this all started way before Facebook and Myspace, so you know she’s hardcore in getting her “information”. Creepy. [NB: I realize I'm a blogger but the fact that I used "NB" should be indicative enough on my "cool status"]
