Alright my fellow G.G. lovers, school has begun and I have been taking care of business, but now business has to take a back seat to my other half…Gossip Girl.

Now, two episodes have come and gone since my last post with recaps galore about them. Of course, the main dish that was served at both events was drama. But, I’ve decided to take a little detour to catch up with my other main reason for watching this dear show of mine. The FASHION! Now, mind you all, I am not a fashion guru. I’m not claiming to be fashion forward or ahead of the Catwalk curb…I just know what I like! So, if there’s something I missed, feel free to mention it! =)

I know that all my fellow fabulous ladies, and just as dashing gents, are just as excited as I am to check out the styles of some of our favourite fashionistas and fashionmistas! [YES, that is an actual word lol Google magic my friends =)] Which is why I decided to give you guys a rundown of *my* favourite outfits from the first two episodes and maybe a few from episodes past that have etched their style in my head. I’ll post my faves from each episode in different posts… (not really trying to write a novel here…yet anyway)…lol =)

First up: Episode 1: “Summer, Kind of Wonderful”

So, let’s kick it off with the cute flower print dress Blair wore “bike riding” with the royal formerly known as “James” now revealed as Marcus in the Season opener. Practical? No, not so much. Adorable, Yes. Which explains why she isn’t actually *riding* the bicycle but walking alongside it…still cute in her own right! Oh! And I can’t forget how hot she looked stepping off that bus (or whatever that was) as Chuck gave her those come-hither eyes he does so well (Lord knows she has great will-power because I DEF. could not resist! GAHHH! That man is too sexy! *wipes drool from mouth*) and she jumps right into a kiss with the Duke. There is no better payback than that! Returning after being stood up looking fly and into the arms of another man, she gets major props for that one! She was rocking blue short shorts with the heels to match, a black and blue satin-y/silk-y top with her trademark headband (Eat your heart out Chuck! I still love you though!). Then there was the Grecian inspired white dress Serena was sporting at the White Party. It was light, cute, and perfectly accessorized! I love the hair wrap she was wearing, metallic and all! And who could forget Blair’s hot white mini? I sure can’t! Now I’m pretty sure that’s not something you can just whip out to every social event and rock it like it’s fresh! But, she worked the hell out of it! I really like the crossed straps (? If that’s what those are) and how the material of the dress is all lacey, but not doily or table cloth looking! And once again, with her white rose headband to match! Then there is that sexy devil Chuck! Looking ever so scrumptious in his white suit with the black trimming, Aviator glasses hanging in the balance of his shirt.**insert school-girl scream here** The man can dress! Maybe I’m a little biased because he’s a stone cold fox and I heart him…but damn, he looked sexxxy! *ESPECIALLY*!!! During that scene where he was telling Blair to stay with him and leave the Duke Marcus, and he couldn’t tell her he loved her and she left him standing there high and dry! Man, that scene gives me butterflies, goosebumps, lumps in my throat all at the same time! It was so bittersweet, but I loved every minute of the heartwrenching scene! Speaking of Marcus, let’s not bypass him! He can dress too! Pretty sure it has to do with his status…but he makes his ish look good as well! And as for Nate…(if only you could see my expression. It kind of looks like this =| lol) WHERE WAS HE GOING!!? LOL! I mean, ok, you only came there to check out the competition a.k.a the woman’s HUSBAND! But, come on, at least dress to impress. Yeah, you’re cute, we know! That gives you no right to come to the party looking like you just slapped something on to go visit your dad in jail or wherever he’s hiding out. NO RIGHT NATE! Coming to the party wearing all different shades of white…get outta here with that! [LMAO at me acting like this party was real and I was there! HAHA you now see the depths to which my obsession flows!] I do realize most of this was about Blair…but really and truly…best dressed of Season 2 Episode 1 has to go to her. The girl’s got it! I mean, she was wearing the hell out of all kinds of floral print and pulled it off! The green floral she wore to brunch was cuteness too! Credit has got to be awarded there! Although, Serena’s taste is more of my flavour of clothing! But she always looks natural and earthy anyhow, Blair was more daring with her choice of pattern…nobody can rock florals in this day and age as well as she did…unless it’s just a small area and not full body…well that’s for the people I see lol!
I’ll be back with my favourites from the second episode of the season and such quite soon. In the future I will get into more detail, but I just had to get this off my chest before I forgot or got caught up in other matters.

Let me know what you all think too! Fashion is debatable (in some instances though, let’s not pull the wool over our eyes…there are some trends I can certainly do without [Crocs with socks…need I say more?] so I’d love to hear your thoughts on what they rocked=) oooh…that kinda rhymed! I’m a poet and I didn’t even know it! HAHA I kill myself! Anyway…enough with the cheese factor, I’m done!
