Spotted: Willful Muse at a local Starbucks!!!

Willful Muse – Monday, November 10, 2008 – 2 comments

Hey there Gossip Girl Fans, Willful Muse here. your one of many sources into the scandalous lives of Manhattan’s elite.

Spotted: Willful Muse was spotted at a local Starbucks enjoying a steaming venti-sized cup of Signature Hot Chocolate, busying typing away at her laptop.

Okay, so I’m back almost as good as new. My broken arm and knee caps are doing very well actually. Laying off of typing has helped quite a bit, but my addiction to blog isn’t kept away that easily. So I went to the doctor and practically begged her to shorten the length of my cast. And BAAM! It’s done.

I had to promise I would not doing anything to strain my arm though. Oh well, promises are made to be broken, right?

Here’s is the update on the previous Gossip Girl episode:

-Blair somehow ended up being desperate for Chuck.
-Serena is supposedly the key to ruining Blair’s future.
-The two got over it.
-Jenny shows up to Lily’s congratulatory party and totally ruins/livens up the situation by putting on a surprise fashion show, which turns out to be a totaly hit in the papers.
-Obviously, her father isn’t so keen on praising her after what she’s done.
-Jenny kisses Nate.
-Vanessa sees.
-Vanessa leaves, Jenny follows.
-Nate is left standing on his own, where he contemplates his sitaution.
-Nate is declared homeless by Dan.
-Fashion show ends, Jenny feels content.
-Her own father tries to arrest her.
-Lily to the rescue.
-S and B are BFFL in the end.
-Dan decides to write the story about Chuck’s life after all.
-Jenny leaves home with her belongings.

Tsk, tsk.
I must say that this episode was not of the best. Okay so, the two in the catfight about who goes to Yale makes up. The bratty little 15 year old Blair babysits turn out to be a deeply hurt daughter whose mother just doesn’t care. Jenny plans a fashion show with Agnes to crash Lily’s party. Chuck is suddenly the good guy who helps Blair. Dan kicks Nate out of his house, Jenny kisses Nate. Vanessa is pissed about it and goes off on her own. I mean, does this not sound practical to you? BFFs make up, Party is crashed by some teenager, bad guy turns good, a sister kisses her brother’s friend, and the peeved ex-girlfriend of that friend is stomping her way out… to me it doesn’t sound original at all.

Hopefully they show a more thrilling and exciting episode next time.

Will S and Lonely Boy somehow find their way to each other without knowing? And what about the coupling between B and Chuck? Jenny and Nate? What stands in their future? Watch the next episode of Gossip Girl to find out.

Okay GG fans. That’s it for today, I’m afraid.

I will update as soon as possible, but you should doubt it, since I’m usually not myself these days, what with all those pain medications.

You know you love me,

XOXO,

Willful Muse.

“The Queen Bee”

J.Sto – Thursday, October 9, 2008 – 3 comments

There is certainly something very special about Blair Waldorf. Ever since Carrie Bradshaw walked off our TV sets with her Manolos clicking, there has been a big TV fashion icon gap. Blake Lively’s Serena may be the commercial success of the show, with all the teen magazine covers and hair envy, but Leighton Meester has really brought Blair to life. Don’t get me wrong, I love Serena’s style too-in fact, her style is probably more like my own, but Blair packs a little something more in the wardrobe department- she really is the “Queen Bee” of the Upper East Side fashion scene.

With a designer mother, and more money than anyone needs at her finger tips, Blair has as many options as an girl could dream of. Her style is very classic, polished and preppy. She’s sophisticated, but also able to keep her look fun and young. She always looks as if she stepped out of a department store window; her outfit is flawless, and she never has a hair out of place. Blair’s fashion sense is definitely the quintessential upper-east-side stereotype, and she’s not ashamed of it!

No matter how subdued Blair’s outfit may be, she always incorporates a pop of colour in some way. Whether it’s a bright trench coat over a simple dress, a technicolor bag, or orange leggings under her school uniform, Blair gives her look punch with brights.  Her favourite colours are red (her signature), orange, and yellow.

Blair is a total girly-girl at heart, and because of this, she loves to incorporate feminine touches like lace, bows, and ruffles, into her outfits. This is also her go-to look for formal events and parties.

Even when Blair is sleeping, she still looks completely chic! A Waldorf doesn’t wear regular flannel pajamas to bed - she sleeps in a designer negligee. And hanging around the house doesn’t mean wearing sweats! Blair has been known to wear a satin dressing gown instead.

What do you think? Do you love Blair’s style, or are you more of a Serena, Vanessa or Little J?  Leave a comment and discuss.

Major Disappointment!

ok ok ok….what in the hell is going on with GG?

I have to say I was not impressed. I missed it when it aired originally, and attempted to watch it online…I could not do it. I got as far as Chuck kicking Dan out of the car and I turned it off and waited for today.

Again, what in the hell is going on? This episode jumped way ahead of where the last one left off! I mean yes, ok, Blair and Serena are head-to-head for the Queen B position and OH SURPRISE Serena wins. No, not a surprise, a given, c’mon!

Where is this Amanda chick? She was a simple ploy to lure everyone in, to expect some crazy woman who will spread havoc among the elite. Instead she lasted one episode to grab ratings, to totally make this week seem like little-to-no sense.

We did however see more into Jenny’s story which is getting pretty interesting! She is a brave little lady, and her father is wayyy too easy going. She has grown up alot too, she almost looks like should could knock Blair out. Anyone noticed as well that she has one mean “glare”. It truly is amazing how many times these girls scheme, knive, lie, and decieve each other, all in a 45 minute epsiode! The storyline that continues to develop with Jenny and Blair, I really enjoy. If they became friends…it could be dangerous. *Fingers Crossed*

I waited because…

Hello again!

I had to let the latest episode digest. It has taken me almost 4 days now to think about the latest episode before I actually put my thoughts into typing…

I don’t know what to think or how to feel. I like Blair being the Queen B. Serena seems like a whole “other” type of Queen B and I rather have Blair being the beeatch any day! There was something sacred and dare I say ’serene’ (lol) about Serena. She was innocent but still a part of the clique, and now from the looks of things she IS the clique! I dig her attitude, don’t get me wrong! She has every right to be fuming with anger from Dan and he deserved the bitter ending to the episode that he received…however I still say that Serena going back her “old ways” or just acting like a heinous beeatch (as previously mentioned) doesn’t know how to sit with me. Did I dislike the episode? hell no, it got better and better by the second.

All that is Dark comes to Light

Lima – Tuesday, September 16, 2008 – 1 comment

A city wide blackout doesn’t seem to deter any scandal from rising to the top- in fact, all the darkness does, is bring things to light.

The lusty B discovers that propriety has its place, unfortunately that place is no where near the bedroom. Enter the crafty, if a little “frustrated”, Mr. Bass whose clearly been practicing his British accent! But what about the Duke…will he ever take the plunge?

The Duchess proves to be quite the masterful trickster, she even makes B look slightly amateur. The Duchess knows that some information needs to stay in the dark… and that’s her ticket to keeping Nate on a very short leash.

Alas, is it truly the end for S and lonely boy? While the light may shine on their love, it also shows how different their worlds truly are…but will love conquer all…again?

As the lights start to spark all over New York, Lonely boy lends support to his dear friend, lonely girl! The beautiful Vanessa finally eats her words, and understands what her good friend was so wrapped up in the season before…turns out the Upper East Side isn’t the simplest place to figure out … especially not in the dark.

xoxo, L.

Welcome to Dramastia, A Kingdom Ruled by the Queen B.

Willful Muse – Friday, September 12, 2008 – Leave a comment

Hey there Gossip Girl fans. Willful Muse here, your one and only source into the scandalous lives of Manhattan’s elite. So the drama has begun to unfold in the Upper East side once again.

Refering to the episode 3 promo uploaded by Robin, our Queen B looks like she’s got herself in the holds of Chuck. Ah-gain. B is indifferent to Chuck’s persuasive behavior at first, but how long will she be able to keep it up? Does she really have no feelings toward our villianous Chuck? Was she really only mildly humiliated at Chuck’s nasty stand up a season ago?

To yours truly, B and C are a match made in heaven. They are both calculating and manipulative and will stop at nothing to get what the want. But will their masks be blown off as they enter the surreal world of fantasy that lays ahead on the next episode?

Look out Gossip Girl fans. Spoiler ahead…

Update on Leighton’s Scandalousness!

ShorStar – Monday, September 8, 2008 – 3 comments

Hey Gang ShorStar here with an update on my past blog about Leighton Meester’s Born Behind Bars story…

The article can be found here, but in a nutshell the current “gossip” is that Leighton’s momma, Connie has been writing a script for the past 3 or 4 years about her child being born “behind bars”. However with the sudden release of this juicy gossip, Connie is in talks with her manager (ya…crazy lady has a manager of her own) has decided to change that “script” into a “memoir”.

IE: let me bank some money off of my daughters fame…

What a class act this woman is! She and Lynne Spears should have a Hollywood dinner stat…they would be a powerhouse if they play their cards right…

Be honest….what are your thoughts on this? all PR is good PR right?

either way…you know you love it

Scandalous… the REAL Gossip

ShorStar – Tuesday, September 2, 2008 – 1 comment

I am sure by now that most of you have seen the crap o’la that Perez has served up about Leighton Meester (Blair Waldorf of Gossip Girl). If not then consider the following…

“Star magazine is reporting that the fabulous Leighton Meester of Gossip Girl was born behind bars!

Apparently, the starlet was born while her mother was serving a federal prison sentence in Texas. Her mom was allowed to stay in a halfway house for the birth but had to return to prison on the day Leighton turned three months.

Leighton was raised by a relative while her momma did time for her role in a major drug-running ring! Leighton’s mom isn’t the only member of her family who’s done time. Her dad, granddad and aunt were all jailed for drug dealing.

We respect the up-and-comer for achieving all that she has, despite the craziness in her life. See, y’all, doesn’t matter where you come from! It’s what you make yourself to be!

Who would’ve guessed that a kid of drug dealers could pull off Park Avenue princess so well?!”

Any thoughts on this one gang? Lets remember that the main sources are Star and Perez, which to be quite frank are not legit and are all based around infamous he-say/she-say routines! It’s the old saying that any press is good press and I believe that to be true for Leighton! Besides whats in the past can stay in the past right?

In other GG news that is sure to impress…

The ratings for last nigthts premiere were apparently fantastic for the CW. As a Canadian I could care less how the ratings are for the CW but lets go through the details shall we?

After a really bad summer for the network, the second season premiere of Gossip Girl on Monday night got the show’s highest ratings ever for them in all key demographics.

GG was able to return with a 6% increase in adult viewers since its premiere last yer. And it was also up 10% among the network’s key demographics, people between 18-34.

If anything last nights Season 2 premiere only helped the CW actually get viewers to tune into One Tree Hill.

CONGRATS GG!

Catch you back here again, the gossip on gossip can’t be over yet!

OMG!

Sia – Monday, September 1, 2008 – Leave a comment

After wasting an hour in front of the TV watching Project Runway re-runs (that Christian is fierce!), the clock struck eight and it was time for the season premiere that I know you’ve all been waiting for. I excitedly flipped the channel to 166 (the CW - apparently it wasn’t showing on CTV). I can honestly tell you that I had the hugest grin on my face as I watched a brief recap of season one, anxiously waiting for the main event.

It didn’t disappoint. Everything that I love about the Gossip Girl series was there: beautiful clothes on beautiful young people, beautiful young people doing terrible things, and terrible drama between beautiful young people! This time, all of the drama went down in the Hamptons, where the rich and famous go for some R’n'R. All of our favourites made an appearance looking tan (well, except for Jenny, who spent most of her time interning in New York), stylish, and very hot.
